About this product
The Ash Plantain of Transfood GmbH (botanically Musa paradisiaca) is a tradition-rich, starchy cooking banana variety. Its name is due to a fine, dusty-light layer on its green shell, which appears visually as covered with ashes. As imported fresh crop aircraft, it has a solid, very strong fruit meat with a mild taste in its immature state. It is difficult to digest in its raw state and unfolds its creamy texture only by cooking.
A genuine traditional ingredient: an absolute culinary must for the authentic cuisine of Sri Lanka and South India.Intestinal-friendly starch: The green fruit delivers valuable resistant starch that acts in the body similar to fiber (prebiotics).Sweet consistency: Excellently absorbs spices and flavors when lubricated in coconut milk and easily binds out sauces.
