About this product

Description

The Thai banana from Transfood GmbH (botanically mostly Musa sapientum/sort Nam Wa) differs significantly from traditional western bananas. It is considerably smaller, darker and has a slightly edgy shape. Imported as ripe harvested aircraft, this speciality marks with a creamy-soft texture and an intense, tropical-sweet flavor with a delicate vanilla note.

Highlights

Concentrated sweetness: It tastes significantly more intense, more fruitful and less soft in the mature state than traditional imported bananas.Form stable when cooking: It has a thicker fruit meat, which is why it wonderfully retains its shape when cooking, baking or roasting in hot fat and does not break down.Optimal flight maturity: Thanks to the fast air freight route, the fruit unfolds its natural sweetness directly at the perennial and is not artificially ripened.

Storage & use

Storage instructions

Temperature: Extremely cold-sensitive! Storage at normal room temperature (13 °C to 16 °C). Never put in the cold refrigerator, otherwise the shell immediately becomes gray-black and the fruit meat loses its flavor.Maturation: Green or light-yellow fruits ripen quickly at home. They are perfectly mature for enjoyment once the shell becomes intensely yellow and has small brown sugar spots.

How to use

Kluai Buat Chi: The absolute Thai dessert classic – the banana pieces are gently packed in warm coconut milk with palm sugar, salt and panda leaves.Thai Banana Roti / Pancake: cut into fine slices as a sweet filling for crushed roasted Thai teas, traditionally garnered with sweetened condensed milk or chocolate sauce.Backed banana (Kluai Death): In Thai Tempura teas (with coconut milk, sesame and coconut flour) gold brown and crushed.Fresh snack: Due to its handy size and extreme sweetness perfect for direct raw consumption, for bowls or smoothies.
